The September 2015 issue opens the new academic year with the announcement of the 2015 Executive DBA graduation ceremony in Luxembourg, the qualitative and quantitative methodology seminar in Dakar from 17 to 20 September and the epistemology and qualitative methodology seminar in Geneva from 24 to 26 September. The main article celebrates the first doctors of the Business Science Institute, Cédric Baudet, Frédéric Favre and Vincent Mottet, whose theses were defended in Geneva on 10 July. The juries were struck by the depth of work carried out by doctoral candidates who are also practising managers, by the scale of the data collection, with Vincent Mottet targeting 230 executives, conducting 20 interviews and identifying 10 cross-border projects, by the tone of presentations moving skilfully between managerial concerns and theoretical considerations, and by the direct relevance of the results for organisations, from information systems success to adaptive competencies in retail and the Greater Geneva area. The issue also reports the partnership agreement signed with Professor Michelle Bergadaà of the University of Geneva to develop an anti-plagiarism training programme. She founded the collaborative site Responsable in 2004, which now gathers more than 22,000 subscribers from 119 higher education institutions in 20 countries, and leads an international action-research initiative on academic plagiarism that has attracted wide media coverage.
