The January 2017 issue opens with the team's new year wishes, hoping that 2017 will be a source of knowledge creation by managers. It announces the new Paris cohort for 2017-2020, with enrolment open until 15 January, and devotes a long section to the Digital DBA, presented during a webinar on Friday 13 January with Professor Isabelle Walsh, head of the programme, and Professor Michel Kalika, founder of the institute. This distance-learning doctorate, run with SKEMA Business School, relies on a digital knowledge box containing sixteen doctoral courses, or knowledge cores, with exclusive videos, books, articles, exchange forums and quizzes, allowing managers to work from home or the office at their own pace. Monthly follow-up is provided by a teaching team of more than one hundred professors from the institute and SKEMA, doctoral students can meet professors by appointment, and a dedicated support team answers daily queries. Isabelle Walsh, professor at SKEMA, is presented in detail: she defended her PhD and habilitation at Paris-Dauphine and works on mixed-design grounded theory, bibliometrics, information systems usage, strategic alignment, cultural issues and change management. A further section describes the French-language remote DBA, for which the institute has been recording its faculty seminars, so that student-managers unable to travel can still follow the programme.
