About this document
The October 2022 issue opens with the president's summary of the international week just held. First the figures: fifteen thesis defences, sixty-six professors present from Cameroon, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Portugal, Senegal, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, doctoral students and doctors from Australia, Canada, Germany, Singapore and Switzerland, a faculty meeting with forty-five colleagues on a Thursday evening in Paris, and one hundred and twenty guests at the Trianon Palace for the graduation ceremony. Then the memories: a community of supportive professors, exceptional defence sessions, remarkable strategic meetings with the launch of the book on the DBA, speeches by Eric Cornuel and Xavier Durand, seminars with lively discussions, doctoral students happy to be fulfilling their dream, and the audience wondering whether he was joking when he asked the new doctors for a plan to communicate their research results within forty-eight hours, all in the magnificent setting of the Trianon Palace. The issue then reports in detail on the 8th International Seminar held at the Espace Vinci and in Versailles, the managerial impact prizes, Impact & Knowledge, new cohorts and alumni news. Read together, the figures and the memories give a vivid picture of the first fully in-person edition after the pandemic years. As every month, the edition closes with faculty publications, videos and a selection of news from management research.
