This November 2015 special edition is devoted to the first graduating class of the Business Science Institute, pictured together: Frédéric Favre, Gabriel Tremblay, Cédric Baudet, Vincent Mottet, Mohamed El Hédi Guelmami and Karim Alibhay. The first graduation ceremony took place on 8 October 2015 at the Château de Wiltz in Luxembourg, bringing together doctoral candidates from Africa, with Ivory Coast, Niger, Ghana, Tunisia, Mali and Senegal represented, from Europe, with Luxembourg, France, Belgium and Switzerland, and from Canada, alongside more than twenty professors. In the morning, under the coordination of Professor Paul Beaulieu, Academic Director, members of the Scientific Council presented their collective book La création de connaissance par les managers, a logical extension of the institute's project and of the conviction that in management, a science of action, knowledge creation can also come from practitioners. The day continued with the thesis presentations and the awarding of diplomas to the six doctor-managers of the first cohort, whose work, completed after three years under demanding supervisors, addresses human resources, information systems, strategic management, the health sector, the public sector and retail. The newsletter details each thesis and its jury, from Karim Alibhay on cloud computing adoption, examined by Michel Plaisent and Prosper M. Bernard as supervisors, to Cédric Baudet on user participation in information systems and Frédéric Favre on the adaptive performance of employees.
