À propos de ce document
The July 2017 issue invites readers to save the dates of the third Executive DBA graduation ceremony, to be held at Wiltz Castle in Luxembourg from 25 to 29 September 2017. The programme is set out day by day: a seminar by Professor Paul Beaulieu on how to assess the state of knowledge on Monday afternoon, doctors speaking to doctoral students on Tuesday morning, presentations of research projects that afternoon, Executive DBA thesis defences throughout Wednesday, the Business Science Institute case study presented by Professor Marc Favier and a round table with the authors of the book Le projet de thèse de DBA on Thursday morning, the graduation ceremony on Thursday afternoon and thesis follow-up workshops on Friday morning. The main news of the month is the institute's admission as a member of the EFMD, the European Foundation for Management Development, making it the first Luxembourg academic institution to join this prestigious Brussels-based organisation, which gathers 900 business schools worldwide and awards the EQUIS and EPAS accreditations. For Professor Michel Kalika, president of the institute, this membership is a further step towards international recognition, since the EFMD places particular emphasis on internationalisation and on the quality processes of management education institutions. The issue also includes videos and a visual retrospective of the June seminars, alongside an opinion piece by an angry HR director.
