The May 2020 issue opens with the schedule for Wiltz 2020, planned from 28 September to 1 October in Luxembourg. The president explains that thesis vivas, certificate presentations and supervisory seminars with one-to-one meetings are already scheduled, even though the situation at the end of September remains unknown. Three scenarios are therefore prepared: plan A, similar to Wiltz 2019 with ninety doctoral candidates and fifty-five professors; plan B, a mix of face-to-face and remote participation; and plan C, a fully remote format. The tools needed for all three options are in place and were successfully tested during eleven days of remote seminars held over the lockdown period, and the final decision will depend on the regulatory and health measures in force in the different countries represented, the only certainty being that the community will take part in Wiltz 2020. The issue then pays tribute to professors Charles-Henri d'Arcimoles and Jacques Rojot, members of the faculty who recently passed away, and presents the ARTIREV project, the research launched on the impact of the crisis, new faculty members, alumni news, the interview of the month, photo highlights, webinars, publications, videos and admissions. The issue shows how the institute turned health constraints into an opportunity to test its remote tools while preserving the collective dimension of its international week.
