The June 2019 issue sets out a busy agenda: Thematic Paradigms I in Douala from 6 to 8 June, qualitative research methods in Bamako on 27, 28 and 29 June, quantitative research methods in Dakar from 13 to 15 June for the sixth cohort and thesis supervision on 16 June for the fifth, qualitative research methods in Geneva from 13 to 15 June and quantitative research methods for the German-language Luxembourg cohort from 28 to 30 June. It repeats the save the date for the International Week in Wiltz from 23 to 26 September, with conferences, seminars, supervisory workshops, thesis oral examinations, the graduation ceremony and the Managerial Impact award. The centrepiece is a testimony by Professor Michel Kalika on the viva process and the values of the Business Science Institute: he recalls receiving, a year earlier, a DBA thesis for approval before it was sent to the examiners, while the supervisor, who had been extremely busy, had already asked the candidate for a number of improvements, and draws conclusions about rigour and shared responsibility in the doctoral process. The issue also features the interview of the month, a new faculty member, admissions, photo highlights, a map of doctoral candidates and doctors, conference papers, publications, videos and tools.
