The February 2023 issue is centred on academic integrity, described as a major challenge for an institution running an Executive DBA programme for senior managers and, more generally, as a strategic issue for candidates and institutions alike. It will therefore be at the heart of the discussions at the spring seminar held on 30 and 31 March and 1 April. The president insists that academic integrity is not limited to plagiarism: its scope is much broader and also concerns the literature review, the conditions under which information is collected, its processing, the formulation of conclusions and the resulting publications. The subject is all the more topical since the appearance at the end of the previous year of ChatGPT, the AI-based conversational agent, which has prompted numerous reactions and reports, from misuse by students to fears for the future of teaching or, conversely, enthusiasm in the name of educational innovation. The debate remains open, but the essential point stands: the Executive DBA thesis is and can only be the result of the individual work of the doctoral candidate. The editorial thus links a technological debate to a very concrete rule of the doctoral process at the institute.
